Does AI Compromise Your Data?

Sending your data to AI can compromise your data, but only if the AI is hosted on third-party infrastructure:

  • 👍 Deploying AI on your own infrastructure gives you full control over data security and compliance.

  • 👎 Deploying AI on your vendor’s infrastructure increases risks related to data privacy and third-party access.

In 90% of cases, we deploy our AI on client-owned Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and on-premise infrastructure. This ensures maximum data security, compliance, and control.

However, some clients want us to host their solutions on our infrastructure. This lets them reduce upfront costs, maintenance responsibilities, IT overhead, and resource allocation.

It’s up to you which trade-offs you want to make.

Having data on your own infrastructure is safer while having it on your vendors’ infrastructure is more convenient and cost-effective.

Still, we generally recommend the first option for companies in highly regulated industries.

If you want to discuss the trade-offs in more detail, please book a call with our team.

Generative AI consultants offer strategic advice and short to medium-term engagements. AI software vendors help develop, implement, and/or maintain AI solutions.
