What Actually Moved AI Forward in Finance This Year

In 2025, much of the AI conversation in finance focused on autonomy and what agents could eventually do.

What worked in practice was applying that capability inside familiar, high-stakes workflows, such as document intake, exception handling, decision prep, where controls and human judgment already existed.

Institutions weren’t avoiding advanced automation. They were building the foundation for it through auditability, traceability, and workflow-level governance.

Finance moved forward not just because AI was powerful, but because it was governable.

That foundation shaped 2025, and it’s what will allow AI to scale with confidence in 2026.

A Strong Close to 2025

We closed out 2025 with momentum across product, customers, and market recognition.

Ankur joined the NYSE Mixture of Experts podcast to discuss the shift from POCs to production, and why 2026 will be defined by ROI, not experimentation. We were also named finalists in the NXTSTAGE Financial Technology Innovation Showcase, where we’ll demo AgentFlow for regional and community banks in January.

On the product side, Playbooks are now live, making it easier to deploy domain-validated workflows without starting from scratch. We also shipped major chat upgrades, such as citations, source tracking, and team Spaces, to support audit-ready collaboration.
